On Opening Day, five talented finalists present their best recipes for guests to sample throughout the village. The fun concludes with an awards ceremony at 5:00pm, honoring the baker behind Beaver Creek’s newest signature cookie creation.

Join in the fun every Thursday during the ski season for an enchanting experience with our Thursday Night Lights ski down. Skiers of level 5 or higher are encouraged to sign up in the afternoon. Each participant will be provided with a luminous baton for a glowing adventure. After registration, skiers, alongside our ski school, will descend via the Haymeadow gondola for an awe-inspiring show. As part of this weekly affair, guests can revel in a dazzling fireworks display from the mountain's peak after the thrilling ski down.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Vail with the beloved Torchlight Parade and Fireworks at Golden Peak. The Vail Ski and Snowboard School instructors illuminate the mountain, skiing in formation with glowing flares for a breathtaking torchlight descent. Immediately following, a brilliant fireworks show lights up the sky above Vail Mountain. Visible from Vail Village, Golden Peak, Lionshead, and even West Vail, this short but spectacular display creates a magical moment for guests to welcome the new year.

The Talons Challenge | BEAVER CREEK

The Talons Challenge at Beaver Creek is a test for expert skiers and riders: 14 of the resort’s most demanding black and double-black runs, combining for over 26,000 vertical feet in a single day. Participants can also compete across both weekend days for the “Master of the Mountain” title.
Check-in starts early morning, and included in the registration fee are lunch, swag, and an après experience in the village with live music and prizes. Find out if you have what it takes to conquer all of Beaver Creek's black and double black runs in one day.

Celebrate Vail’s rich history during Legacy Weekend, honoring the 10th Mountain Division with exciting public events and commemorations. Highlights include the Riva Ridge Ski Down, where troops descend the iconic slope in tribute, accompanied by live music from the 10th Mountain Band in Vail Village and the Ski Yard. Guests can also witness the thrilling Black Hawk helicopter landing at the top of Chair 2. Legacy Weekend combines history, community, and mountain adventure, offering a unique experience for visitors of all ages.
