Did you know that Beaver Creek has some of the most snowshoeing trails of any resort in North America? In addition to McCoy Peak there is also a vast network of snowshoe only trails criss crossing between Beaver Creek, Bachelors Gulch, and Arrowhead mountains. Special insider secret – knowing the snowshoe trails of Beaver Creek is like knowing the secret passages in an old house.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
Explore one of the most amazing parts of Beaver Creek in a way that most people never get to. McCoy Park is only open to snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Leave the busy village behind and unwind in our robust network of groomed trails as well as natural trails. Start off with an easy gentle route and then head off on an adventure at your own pace. We have the terrain and professional lessons for all abilities. Please note that tours and lessons require a minimum of 2 guests and you should always ski with at least one buddy.

HORSE DRAWN SLEIGH RIDE TO DINNER
Come experience the way the valley used to be a hundred years ago or more. Jump on our hotel shuttle service or drive out to the ranch. When you arrive at Nelson’s cabin built around the 1890’s we will have a hot drink and a bowl of the very best award winning chili ready for you. Take a few minutes to warm up before heading out for an unforgettable sleigh ride. So snuggle up under the cozy blankets as the stars will seem to come alive as they dance above your head.
Upon your return we will have prepared an extensive buffet including rib-eye steaks, baby back ribs, and grilled chicken. Complete with all the fixings and a desert to drool over. We offer free hot drinks as well as a cash bar for alcohol and soft drinks. Dinner entertainment is provided by a solo guitarist. So brush up on your old cowboy songs as you may just feel the urge to join in.
ADVENTURE RIDGE IN VAIL
So what happens if the mountains don’t tire out your kids? Or if after dinner they get their second wind? Adventure Ridge over in Vail is your answer. Easy parking in Lions head or a convenient bus ride between resorts will get the whole family smiling and having fun together. Start with a scenic gondola ride to the top of Eagles Nest and then rush off to one of the many activities. Who will be first on our Forest Flyer Mountain Coaster? The Kids can race on the mini Snowmobiling track (ages 6-12). Or go crazy Ski Biking. Food is always served at Bistro 14, and the Nature Discovery Center always has something fun and cool to offer.
