A Taste of Spring

Taste of Vail

Each spring, the Vail Valley comes alive with one of its most anticipated culinary events: the Taste of Vail. As ski season begins to wind down and sunny patio afternoons return, this four-day celebration brings together world-class chefs, celebrated wineries, and food lovers from across the country.

Held April 1–4, 2026, Taste of Vail blends exceptional food and wine with the stunning alpine backdrop that makes the valley so special. From mountaintop tastings to elegant evening events, it’s a true celebration of mountain lifestyle and culinary creativity.

A One-of-a-Kind Mountaintop Tasting

One of the most iconic events of the festival is the Mountaintop Tasting, held high on Vail Mountain. Guests ride the gondola to an unforgettable setting where chefs from Vail Valley restaurants serve signature dishes alongside hundreds of wines from around the world.

Surrounded by panoramic views of the Gore Range and fresh mountain air, this event perfectly captures the spirit of Taste of Vail—elevated, social, and uniquely Colorado.

Signature Events Throughout the Weekend

Taste of Vail is known for its variety of experiences, each offering something different for guests to enjoy.

The Vail Pour

Kick off the weekend with the Opening Reception at the Vail Golf Club, where guests sample an extensive collection of wines paired with seasonal bites. It’s a festive way to welcome spring in the mountains.

Après Tasting

Inspired by Vail’s ski culture, the Après Tasting brings together wineries and chefs for a lively afternoon of tastings and socializing—perfect after a day on the slopes.

Grand Tasting

The weekend culminates with the Grand Tasting, where top chefs and winemakers gather for an evening of culinary excellence and unforgettable pairings.

A Celebration of Vail’s Culinary Community

Taste of Vail highlights the incredible food scene that has grown throughout the valley. Many participating chefs represent renowned local restaurants, showcasing the creativity and quality that define dining in both Vail and Beaver Creek.

The event also supports culinary education and hospitality scholarships, making it not only a celebration of great food and wine, but also an investment in the future of the industry.

Make a Weekend of It

With events taking place across multiple venues throughout the villages, Taste of Vail is the perfect reason to plan a spring getaway. Many visitors spend their days skiing or exploring the mountains before heading to tastings and evening events.

Spring is also one of the most enjoyable times to experience the Vail Valley—longer days, warmer temperatures, and a relaxed mountain atmosphere before summer arrives.

Plan Your Taste of Vail Stay

Because the festival draws visitors from across the country, lodging can fill quickly. Booking accommodations close to the villages makes it easy to move between events and enjoy the weekend without worrying about transportation.

Whether you're here for the mountaintop tasting, the rosé debut, or simply to enjoy a weekend of incredible food and wine, Taste of Vail is a truly unforgettable way to experience spring in the mountains.
